Pink stones

I redid the drawing from the last post, and now I'm adding the color of those "pink stones" and shadows and all that, with layers upon layers of colored pencil. Fun, engrossing but hard and time consuming.

Facade

This is from a photograph of a clinic on the Lower East Side, NYC. The color of the building is a beautiful red/pinkish stone.

Walkin' around

I drew this, I can't remember where, just walking around the Lower East Side, May 2006.

Tree birds

Birds in trees, trees full of birds are everywhere, but these particular birds were in, I think, Tompkins Square Park in May of 2006

Katz's Delicatessen May 2006

I drew this, as I remember it, looking out of Katz's front window, while eating a, rather dry, corned beef sandwich.

As the world turns?

Another clockwork toy. This one tosses and turns and flips around as it's many gears change position. Bugolino seems to have a persona, but this toy hasn't inspired a name, as yet. Still fun to draw and watch.

Bugolino

Bugolino is a little clockwork windup toy. He crawls around on his little green booties and makes a whiring grring kind of low noise. Since he's been hanging around my house for a while, he got picked to be a model.
